Mark Northeast from Quantel Toronto states they have been doing stereo scoptic 3D for the past four years in Toronto and they feel that the biggest change is digital. In the area of the digital centre of excellence, there are three different groups of products showing how they work together interactively. The Quantel Pablo system does editing and stereo scoptic manipulation, a system which was used in Avatar, connected to that is a Stereo 3D rig where a live output of stereo images is manipulated and played back at the same time, and the third is a Stereo 3D analyzing tool that does 2D to 3D conversions. Recently, they launched a technology called Q-tube which takes a virtual file system that generates media wherever you are in the world.
